Animated Canvas was first formed by Scot "Spyder" Kumo in Riverside California, USA, in September of 1996 ...setting a new standard of tattooing in the Inland Empire.

In September of 2007 Animated Canvas moved to 1209 Park St on the Vista in Columbia, South Carolina where they began to redefine tattooing within the State.

In June of 2009 Animated Canvas expanded to Lexington, South Carolina with the opening of the new studio at 4325 Augusta Rd, called Animated Canvas Custom Tattoo.

In October 2009, as the result of a collaboration between Pete Tattoo and Spyder Kumo,we are proud to announce that Animated Canvas went international with the opening of Animated Canvas UK Ltd at 10, Marsh Mill Village, Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire, UK with Pete and Spyder as owner/operators.
